Tight Slap Posters

I was going through a blog by Veer Lakhvir Singh from Kenya, he writes very very well and he designed a few posters for the Sikh Youth Camp that was recently held in Makindu, Kenya. The posters were targeted at youth on what their perceptions are in contrast to what Sikh really is so that they can become more aware of the life of a GurSikh.

Hi, Can I use some of these posters at a local Gurudwara to distribute them, or put them on display. I live in the Middle East, I also require your permission to edit the posters, like removing the point where it says to register.

Since Dastar IS the uniform of the Khalsa..and our identity....
as the poster above indicates.....There are a few questions which arise now..
Is dastar only for Singhs?if it is then...then what is the Khalsa Identity for the bibian? If dastar is ONLY compulsory for men then why is it not compulsory for bibian? When a bibi walk down a street...how will she get reconized as the daughter of Guru Sahib?.....since dastar is optional for Bibian as many would say..then it should also be optional for men don't u think?...if a bibi a can go to an amrit sanchar with a dupatta on her head then even a singh should be able to do so right?....Just some things for us to ponder on....

Haha Anonymous... What a comment u made that A singh can go to amrit sanchar with just covering his head with a dupatta.. Sori to say but its not nice that we can even think like that...
About the bibian wearing dastar, i also agree that bibian should wear dastar as man and woman are equal and they should look alike.. but i dont really know much of this .. I hope someelse can help me to explain this matter... Tq....

GuruFatehJi,

I understood the point of the Dastaar for bibian, and there is a lot of confusion amongst Sikhs whther the dastaar is mandatory for the womenfolk, so I'll not go much into it. The current message is targeted towards the males, whose identity is unmistakable with a dastaar. I believe that the dastaar is such a beautiful gift of the Guru, such that when I see the womenfolk maintaining it, it puts to shame the male counterparts who are fast losing their identities in exchange for material gains. I salute the Sikhs who respect the dastaar as a dear part of the Guru by taking care of the gift we have been granted by the Infinite Grace of WAHEGURU.

>>>>>The current message is targeted towards the males, whose identity is unmistakable with a dastaar.<<<<<
Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Maharaj has said it **Clearly**
~KHALSA MERO ROOP HEY KHASS~
I dont see maharaj saying KHALSI(for bibian)....If soo according to the quote above, what is the Khalsa roop of bibian then?
As far as I know Guru Sahib gave the SAME rahit to both genders...Unlike Islam, Christians or other who have different rehit for each gender...In Guru Sahibs eye both Singh Singhnia are equal...

The posters have such a strong message....sadly we only aim it for the other half of the sikhsangat....well..I do agree to some extent to your points Veer jee......But these pictures speak up for themself....
