Dera Sach Sauda

Nowadays people can go to that extend to dressing up like the 10th guru, Guru Gobind Singh and give out false amrit to people. The head of the Sacha Sauda's so-called religious chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh who hurt Sikh sentiments by doing this.

~Cult leader wearing clothes similar to the ones Guru Gobind Singh Ji is depicted with, complete with a Kalgi on his head~

This person has also mimicked the sacred Sikh Amrit-Sanchar ceremony carried out by Guru Sahib on Vaisakhi of 1699. Gurmit Ram Rahim prepared a Ruhafza Sharbat (flavored milk) drink, labeled it as the 'Jam-e-Insa' (drink of humanity), administered it to the Sacha Sauda followers and announced the formation of the 'Insa Panth'.

How Ram Rahim Insulted the Amrit-Sanchar Ceremony.
To inaugurate the ceremony, Ram Rahim first administered the drink to seven men and announced the forty-seven golden rules of the so-called Insa Panth which all members of the congregation must abide by. Later, Ram Rahim appeared in front of the seven men, whom he titled the 'Sat Sitare' (Seven Stars), satirizing the ‘Panj Pyare’ (beloved five) of the Sikhs and asked them to carry out a ceremony to initiate him in this newly formed religious order. At this ceremony, Ram Rahim was dressed in clothing much like the type adorned by Guru Gobind Singh Ji and mimicked historical accounts of Vasakhi 1699.
Later after this event took place, tensions broke out in Bathinda in which Sikhs protested the acts of Ram Rahim's cult. Sacha Sauda followers also came out to oppose the protesting Sikhs and the scene became violent when at least twenty-five persons were badly injured. According to witnesses, Punjab Police officers just looked on as cultists beat the Sikh protestors with sticks and stones. Once the fight began to even out, the police finally decided to intervene and the tense situation was brought under control.

Bathinda Clash
Miscreants belonging to the "Sacha" Sauda cult virtually took over the government mini-secretariat in Bathinda for an entire day. Their volunteers assembled around the complex armed with fighting staffs and other weapons. Several trucks loaded with bricks and rocks were brought in for offensive use against the protesting Sikh Sangat.

~This is not 1984, this was the scene in Punjab three days ago ~

By 10:00am the cultists had assembled a large tent along with a stage on the main road facing the secretariat. One after another, pro-cult speakers began to deliver hateful remarks against the protesting Sikh Sangat.

One speaker openly challenged the Sikh community and declared “we have drunk the jam-e-insaa from our satguru, so go ahead and mess with us, and we will prove that our guru is greater than your guru.” This was a direct challenge to the Sikhs that their cult leader was greater than Guru Nanak-Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. The speaker further spewed, “our leader will ride a horse, and wear any dress he wishes to wear. If anyone has the guts, try to stop him! If anyone speaks against our satguru, we are willing to die, even if we will create rivers of blood by this action.”

HOW COULD THEY EVEN THINK OF TELLING THESE HARSH WORDS. ITS VERY VERY DISSAPOINTING.

Bhai Kanwaljit Singh Ji is the first Shaheed of the anti-Dera Morcha. He was killed near the Suman Dera of the Sauda Cult.

Latest News about this Issue

A meeting was held at Akal Takht Sahib with all the major Jathebandis and Jathedars. They have announced that Punjab will be shutdown on Tuesday, 22nd May because the government has not yet met the demands of the Khalsa Panth.
They further demanded all “Sacha” Sauda deras in Punjab be completely shutdown and evacuated. If these demands are not met by the 27th of May, there will be a Panthic march on 30th May.
Please note the dates may be unconfirmed, this is preliminary information from Panthic Weekly sources.

Is it Deja Vu All Over Again
A representative of the Khalsa Alliance, while talking with Panthic Weekly, compared the Bathinda incident with the various Nirankari clashes that occurred in the late 1970's. Those clashes came to a climax on Vaisakhi of 1978 when thirteen innocent Sikhs were killed by the armed Nirankaris with the aid of local Police. The Nirankari leader Gurbhachan Sinh had paraded the streets of Amritsar Sahib on Vaisakhi mimicking Sikh traditions. Copying the ideology of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Gurbhachan Nirankari had promised to form 'Sat Sitare' in comparison to Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Punj Pyare. That incident had involved hundreds of Sikhs peacefully marching and chanting hymns when dozens of armed gunmen opened fire on them with automatic weaponry.

WILL THIS BE THE REPEAT OF THE 1978 OR 1984 INCIDENT??

WILL RAM RAHIM APPOLOGISE TO SIKHS & WILL THE SIKHS FORGIVE HIM?

WILL THE BABBAR KHALSA OR ANY OTHER SINGHS ASSASIANATE HIM?

WILL THIS BE THE CONTINUATION OF KHALISTAN?

WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT THIS INCIDENT?? ASK YOURSELF.

Thanks for the article, was wondering what was going on in Punjab. This is a very terrible thing happening to the Sikhs. How could the person dare to dress like Guru Gobind Singh and give out bluff amrit? I feel ashamed of this person, and i think the Sikhs should kill him if he never appologise.

This secrilege of our sikh traditions and Gurus should serve as a lesson for all of us. Many Sikhs are promoting and supporting these "Babas" and "Sants" who are flourishing like mushrooms in Punjab and all over the world, as a result of which, this "murakh" dares commit such a blesphamous act. The Panth needs to plan its response very carefully instead of the usual knee-jerk reaction. We may be playing into the hands of these politicians by inviting chaos. I'm reproducing an article by Bhai Autar Singh (Fauji) on behalf on the management team of GLZ. Its a bit long but worth the read:-

"gurmukh pyare jio
waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!

it is six days now since the sacrileges event at the dear sacha sauda in salabatpura, bathinda in punjab although the dera is actually based in sirsa, haryana. why was this momentous event in the development of the dera held in punjab, ie away from its headquarters? why not in haryana? why after the akalis won the state elections in punjab?

why do such conflicts between deras and the mainstream sikhs happen when the akalis rule in punjab and the congress rules at the centre? why do these events not happen when congress is in power at both places, or when the akali/bjp coalition is in control at both places?

is this a ploy to create religious conflict in punjab when akalis are in power so that the central congress government can declare president's rule and throw out the akalis?

and who are those who would benefit the most if there is religious conflict in the state? who are the ones shouting the loudest for revenge, murder, head of the dera chief, etc? would these calls bring peace, or highten the conflict? then why are these people making such calls? why are they fanning the emotions? what are they going to benefit from this? are they for the state, panth and peace, or are they against?

by acting in josh in the past, the panth and the state has suffered tremendously. should we learn from history, as it keeps repeating itself? or should we keep making the same mistakes?

the time is now for the panth to act with hosh. a hosh that is supported by josh, for without the josh we may not move beyond the discussion stage. let us learn from our past mistakes.

we need to strategise our response and direct the josh of our community to act against the dera and its chief in a manner that will be a real victory for us. not in a way that will get us further into trouble. hence calling for the head of the dera chief, or announcing rewards for his head are not the way forward. what will we achieve? a war with the dera followers, who seem to number at least 10 million, most of them 'sikhs'. who will die? sikhs or at least punjabis. would this be a victory for the panth? for punjab and punjabis?

we have a challenge infront of us. the easy way is to go to war and get a lot of people killed, get the akali govt out, bring president's rule in, and make the followers of the dera life-long enemies of the panth and diehard premis of the dera. lost to us forever.

the challenge is to avoid the so called 'easy way' above, which all of us would opt for now given our hurt feelings. would we be able to do this? or would we allow our brothers and sisters [who are genuinely hurt by the events] to dictate the community's response by choosing the easy way?

we, the GLZ management, would like to appeal to our leaders and opinion makers, our panthic movers and shakers, to take the lead to get to the bottom of this hurtful episode to identify the reasons why sikhs would choose to leave the sharan of sahib sri guru granth sahib ji and seek the shelter of another [doojay bhau lagay]? and having done so, to strategise our response to counter this trend of reposing faith in deras. this to be the top priority of all.

we at GLZ would not post any mail advocating the 'easy way'. we would happily post those mails that provide long-term solutions going beyond this episode. i hope the membership is with us in this decision.

bhull chukk dhi khimaa karni jio.

CNN IBN and other channels have repeatedly being saying that its a fight over faith between Dera and Akali Sikhs. This is totally false! It's a fight between "All Sikhs" and the Dera.

Yeah CNN (ibn) are telling lies, its no use, the government of India is from last time against the Sikhs, so confirm they will tell like that,
i am sure that ram rahim is part of the governement or RSS against the Sikhs.
Anyway i love the wordings said by Jathedar Balwant Singh “That Singh who will bring the head of that dokhee (Dera leader Ram-Rahim), we will weigh him with gold and silver (as a sign of honour)”
Very inspiring..
